Helping Women Help Themselves
As a recently divorced woman of a 20 year union, and stay home mother of 3 beautiful teenage daughters, I found myself struggling with great difficulty trying to understand my new found purpose and sense of belonging, and the ability to restore the self confidence that was lost, so that I can once again enter back into the career and industry I gave up to raise my children. I discovered it was not easy, and the court battles of many divorces in this country show little mercy for stay home mothers. This is the reason and motivation behind "The GiG Project". I have learned so much from my ordeal, and the single most important thing I experienced and want to share with other women and children is that you are loved and appreciated! God is so good, and even in the darkest hours, He will always show us how to restore what was lost, and how to live out His purpose.
"The GiG Project" is a charity outreach effort raising funds to help local organizations HELP MOTHERS and CHILDREN who are suffering from family fallouts. By donating and purchasing items through the "The GiG Project" you are helping those individuals get back on their feet.
Our goal is to establish sanctuary housing and resource centers where women and children can come to as a safe haven, and to re-establish themselves to enter back into society with a sense of security and dignity through the assistance from our many programs, resources and volunteers. We will offer temporary shelter, safe houses, financial assistance through grants, resource centers which will offer counseling, daycare, food, clothing & necessities, support groups, legal support and job training.
As our first step, we are collecting gently used items such as clothing, shoes, and accessories for women and children, as well as small household items. All finer items will be sold, and profit from sales goes directly to our project. All other items will be donated directly to our clients and/or local safe houses and church's with similar distribution centers and programs in place.
If you would like to purchase any of the items in our collection or donate items to our cause, please contact us by email ChristinaMD@holistichealthsanctuary.com. We will arrange for delivery and pickup. Service areas include Orange County, Los Angeles County and the Inland Empire.
If you would like to join our efforts by becoming an affiliate or direct sponsor by assisting mothers and children in areas of your expertise, training or interest, please contact us. Together we can share God's love and blessings by paying it forward to those in need.
